On the Way to Enantiomerically Pure Planar Chiral Ferrocenes: Catalytic Asymmetric Deprotonation of (<em>N,N</em>)-Dimethyl(aminomethyl)ferrocenes - Patricia Gollas

The highly efficient enantioselective (R,R)-TMCDA-mediated ortho-lithiation of N,N-dimethyl(aminomethyl)ferrocene was advanced and opens access to enantiomerically pure 1,2-disubstituted N,N-dimethyl(aminomethyl)ferrocenyl derivatives. Based on the crystal structure we examined the use of substoichiometric amounts of the chiral diamine (R,R)-TMCDA.
